What to expect when becoming a patron

Where to start

When you first call the Food Pantry, an intake form will be completed over the phone. Once your eligibility is determined, you will be given an appointment to pick up a food hamper, at which time you will be required to provide proof of residential address (usually NL Power bill), and a piece of identification for all household members.

You can call 709-567-8800 Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm.

Hampers are provided once per month, and consist of both perishable and non-perishable food items, typically sufficient for 3 to 4 days.

Burin Area Food Pantry Inc. utilizes the Link2Feed computerized database for storing patron information, so you can feel confident that your personal information won't be shared anywhere it shouldn't be.

Subject to funding availability, special projects including Meals on Wheels, Christmas stockings, After the Bell food packs, and gift cards may be offered.
